As I am finishing packing for the Netherlands, I feel very excited to have this opportunity! I am leaving on May 18th for a week in the Netherlands as the culmination of the ‘Practical Applications of Leadership in Agriculture’ class offered at SEBS. Agriculture is my passion and I am eager to witness the agricultural industry of another country.

One of the things I am looking forward to the most is visiting Aalsmeer, a huge horticultural auction. The building spans over 100 acres across the land.
Although this trip is focusing on agriculture, we will also have the chance to visit Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

A stereotypical picture of Amsterdam. While we are there, we will have the chance to ride bikes and take a boat ride through the canal!
I am looking forward to hearing about the complex relationship the Netherlands has with the ocean and how the Netherlands combats the impending waters with dikes.

This is how the Netherlands would look without the complex system of dikes!
I can’t wait to experience the Netherlands and learn more! As the Dutch say, ‘until next time’: tot de volgende keer!
Enjoyed accompanying the class. Looking forward to reading how you viewed the trip.
