On day 4 we drove to Kruger National Park. Kruger was a lot warmer than where we were before. The day was just spent driving and settling into camp, so nothing much exciting happened. The campsite was really nice though and had nice amenities. Dwarf mongooses and guinea fowl were walking around all the time, and I collected some feathers for my journal.

That night we had traditional South African pitjie, pronounced “poy-kee”. It’s a stew-like dish in a cast iron pot where vegetables are stacked over meat, but I ate it with veggie mince instead of meat. It was super good and I ate a whole lot.
