Today is my last day here and I am super sad! I really don’t want to leave, I love it here. This morning we went and injected goats and then trimmed their hooves. Then we went to inject sheep and I had fun having to catch them and everything. Later we went to see a horse castration.
On the car ride back I was thinking about how much I’m going to miss this and all the cool things I’ve been able to do. I honestly came into Belize not expecting much and kind of undecided if I really wanted to be here or not. Not to be cliché but this was honestly a life changing experience. I feel like my perspective on so many things has changed, not even just medicine but opinions on things and ideas and perspectives. I feel like I’m leaving as a much better and more educated person. I’ve learned so much not just about animals but everything from everyone I’ve met.
I’m so unbelievably thankful for this opportunity and everyone here who made this trip so amazing. So thank you to Lorena & Ruben & Dr. T and everyone else, you guys are so so amazing and really made this trip absolutely perfect and I’m so thankful I got to meet all of you.
