It has been a few days that I have been back but I am still so sad about not being in Belize. It has been hard to readjust- I have to get used to the cold weather (luckily I missed the brunt of it), having three amazing meals at a set time everyday, having dessert every night (haha), not seeing my friends every waking hour of the day, not seeing amazing animals all the time… it has been really difficult, to say the least. I made so many new, awesome friends there from all over the world, learned so many new things about animals I didn’t even know existed, and got to experience so many new things. This trip taught me a lot- I learned that taking risks is usually SO worth it, to not be afraid of experiencing new, sometimes scary things, and that I REALLY, REALLY love what I do and I want to keep studying animals for the rest of my life. Here are some awesome pictures!! All photo credits go to Sadie Bowling of Texas Tech University.

I cannot stop talking about or thinking about this trip. I learned so much about conservation and about myself, and I am forever grateful to Rutgers and SEBS Study Abroad for letting me go!
