ID, check. Passport, check. Birth Certificate, check. Anxiety, check. Excitement, check. After months of planning, I surprisingly managed to fit everything inside my suitcase. Today’s the day and I say goodbye to Jersey and finally get to experience the outside world. I made it to the airport and never have I been more nervous. Nervous to spend time away from my family, nervous to endure a cumulative 9 hour flight, but most importantly, nervous to see if I like the taste of what it means to be “an adult.” Fortunately, my level of excitement is also sky high because I know that everything is going to be worth it. Sitting down right now, at my gate, waiting for workers to say board the plane is all I can think about. Before arriving at the airport today, I was literally just wondering what it would be like to travel outside of the U.S. As soon as “abroad the plane” Is spoken however, this idea of wanting to travel will become a journey that I can not wait to embark on!
