Sawadee krub!
I’m currently at the airport awaiting my (multiple) flights to Bangkok, Thailand! In total, the trip is expected to take close to thirty hours, including stopovers in Boston and Doha, Qatar. I’m stoked to return to one of my favorite cities in the world!
My nerves have eased quite a bit since my last trip to Thailand – having visited and backpacked through the country last year for over a month, prior to my study abroad program in Sydney, Australia. This time, however, I won’t be staying in hostels and planning day-trips – but rather in a studio apartment, walking distance to my internship at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. This, I anticipate, will be the key difference between my time in Thailand last year and this time around. Nonetheless, I anticipate a number of weekend trips throughout the country and beyond during my two and a half months in Bangkok.
I’ll touch base again once I’m settled – till then, sawasdee krab!
