The morning went into the lecture and it was about vinegar production and wastewater treatment. I selected my cheese and wine for the presentation. I choose camembert de Normandie cheese and Domaine De La Butte wine for the presentation. We were free for the rest of the day. Spent almost the whole day in lecture room working on the presentation. It was time to try a new restaurant in Cluny named La Locanda. Tried blue cheese pasta and tiramisu for the dessert. I almost finished my presentation on Wine that night.

Today we learned about production and history of beer in the morning lecture session. During the Lecture Session, we were joined by the assistant dean of International Programs Megan Francis at Rutgers. While walking towards the restaurant, we found engraves metal plates with names written on it. The German artists to pay tribute to the people who were deported and send to the Nazi camps installed engraved plates to the houses of the real people who were deported. We had a group dinner with Dean Francis at Le Pain Sur La Table. The restaurant was organic and more shifted towards a vegan lifestyle. I had a nice Buddha bowl and picture will tell you everything. Then we took a bus to Cormatin to visit a chateau. This was the last group visit of the remaining days of the journey. The chateau was bought by three historians and they sold their everything in order to preserve this chateau from ruins. The chateau gave us look into the life of a French nobleman. Found out that set the table was really getting the table out and placing plates and then once finished fold it and keep away. Saw the rotary barbecue and fun part was that it would rotate by itself. People in old times did not sleep completely flat but rather sitting at a 45-degree angle. Returned to Cluny around six and went to the ATAC supermarket to buy my cheese for the presentation. Rest of the night was spent preparing the presentations.

Presentation Day!!
11 Wines and 11 Cheese to go. I was nervous a bit but going third helped because of the wine. I think my presentation went quite well and everybody liked my cheese. There was a minor tragedy as I was the only one to demonstrate how to crack open cork in the wine bottle. By the last presentation, I was done with all cheese not so with the wine. The presentations were over by six pm and started packing as there was a slight change in itinerary because we were supposed to leave in afternoon of next day but due to train workers strike our train was canceled so had to take the early train. Had a Vegeta at Quebec burger for the last time for dinner. It was movie night and as we were in France we watched Ratatouille.

We took TGV Train from Macon Station to Paris and reached Paris around 12 pm. Some of us went to explore Paris. We took a metro train from GareDe Lyon to The Louvre. Took some photos and headed to the Eiffel Tower. I went to my hotel after that as I was staying in Paris for two more days. Relaxed a bit and then went to Eiffel tower again around 7 pm. Decided to go to the top of the Tower. The view from the top of the tower was awesome. The view of Paris city and Seine river was astonishing. Next day was more Paris exploration and really loved the Paris metro app. Fun Fact: Paris metro app does not require data and it has route planner too.
Paris is super friendly for tourist. I went to Montmartre, Notre Dame Cathedrals, Lafayette Galleries and a nice boat ride along the Seine river during the night. Had a nice savory crepe for the lunch and I was craving Indian food for lunch so went to try Indian food in Paris. The cheese nan was simply amazing. Finally last day in Paris. I woke up really late and my flight was around 4:30 pm. I left for the airport around noon by Air France Bus.
The journey of Microbiology and Culture of Cheese and Wine come to end and Looking back I have learned a lot about both science and culture. I am glad that I applied for study abroad course and came to France.
