This is my first time being in a European country. As a student who was growing up in an Asian country, and then immigrated to an American country, and now being in a European country; this experience is very unique to me. I used to think that there is probably not a big difference between European countries and American countries; because for me, they are both foreign to me anyway.
However, ever since I had lived in the United States, I started to learn about the character of the United States; but then now, I truly understand the difference of culture and people between them. In Berlin, I have seen that people have more relied on public transportation, they put the environment before their self-comfort, or even they see it as a normal matter. I learned that they like to have a conversation to show friendliness, even though they might be strangers. Walking and biking is a daily task for them, not that it is environmentally friendly, it is also a good exercise; I personally really like that too, it is so much more fun than driving around.
I believe there are so much more sides of Berlin that I have not discovered, and I am looking forward to what I will learn from exploring and experiencing this beautiful city, Berlin.
