Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed my experience working with the animals during the Large Animal Veterinary Practices course. I learned so much working with the veterinarians and my fellow peers and I know the skills I have learned, especially during vaccine injections, physical exams, and suturing, will stay with me forever. I also made so many amazing new friends and I can’t believe that it went by that quickly. Now, I just began my next adventure in the Wildlife Health, Ecology and Conservation course and yesterday we went cave tubing which was AMAZING!! As part of that experience we got to also see some of the Mayan artifacts that have been in that cave for thousands of years when they left, and some of the rock formations were indescribably beautiful. Today, we got our first tour of the zoo and saw so many national animals, notably the tapir and the jaguar! I can’t wait to go out in the fields and set up our cameras to see all the wildlife in action here in Belize!
