Hi everyone! I am currently in Houston’s George Bush International Airport. We have a 3 hour layover here until we board our plane to Mérida. I didn’t finish packing until 3AM last night because I had a paper to finish up for my Honors College Forum Mission Course. So I took a (much-needed) nap on the plane from Newark to Houston and now I feel refreshed and energized with Mexican vibes. 

I’m not nervous at all, despite the fact that this is my first time going away without my parents. I can’t wait to be in a warm climate and start the expedition with Dean Nazario. I’m especially excited about our dinner tonight in Mérida. I’ve had mole before at a Mexican restaurant in my hometown, but I’d like to see how it compares to the REAL thing.
